Beginning with RALS Version 8.0.0 we've added flexible installation options: Customer Provided / On-Premise (Abbott Provided Image OR Customer Provided Environment) or Abbott Cloud Hosted.
In this RALS deployment option, ARDx Informatics either provides a virtual server image that is installed in the customer’s environment (current installation model), OR installs RALS on servers provided by the customer in their environment.
Our Customer Provided Environment allows IT to install on a customer provided server, encrypt data at rest, and separate the RALS application from the database. Please refer to our Customer Provided Environment document for specific details.
In this RALS deployment option, devices are connected to our CONNECT Universal Gateway. This data communications product provides reliable and secure network connectivity for the transfer of data between point-of-care devices and RALS using cellular, WAN/LAN (customer networks), or Wireless (customer networks) connectivity. ARDx Informatics hosts RALS in the cloud and system access is made available to customers through a custom URL.
